Ohio Value Voters Endorses Mike DeWine for Governor

Election Alert – Ohio Governor Race

Ohio Value Voters today announces our endorsement of Attorney General Mike DeWine for Governor and Secretary of State Jon Husted for Lt. Governor.

The mission of Ohio Value Voters, Inc. is to educate, inform and influence value voters in Ohio. Based upon the record of Attorney General Mike DeWine, he is the candidate to support in this year’s race for Governor. This endorsement and support is based upon Mike DeWine’s record of standing up for the people of the State of Ohio.

In a letter to the Obama Administration on May 27, 2016, Attorney General DeWine stated his opposition to President Obama’s, transgender bathroom decree. Attorney General DeWine stated in his letter:

“This attempt to nationalize and politicize the way schools address gender identity issues down to the level of school locker rooms, showers, and bathrooms might be dismissed as simple bureaucratic arrogance were it not so potentially harmful to our civic discourse and to the important rights and needs of all the school children involved … If your Departments act against our State contrary to law, I will defend vigorously the interests of the State of Ohio.”

When the Obama Administration demanded by law (Obamacare) that people in Ohio would be denied their First Amendment Rights and religious freedoms, Attorney General DeWine supported the 2012 lawsuit of Hobby Lobby Stores, an Ohio business. Attorney General DeWine, urged the United States Supreme Court to rule in favor of Hobby Lobby and the religious freedoms of all Ohioans.

In 2014, the United States Supreme Court agreed with Attorney General DeWine in a 5-4 decision. Finally, the pro-abortion organization known as the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL), went into a complete meltdown when Secretary of State Jon Husted agreed to join Attorney General Mike DeWine as his running mate. Both Husted and DeWine are pro-life. As reported by National Right to Life News Today, NARAL’s Executive Director stated, “we went from 16 abortion clinics to just eight, and some of those clinics are involved in litigation to remain open.” The story goes on to say that “DeWine has been a thorn in their (NARAL’s) side.”

The people of Ohio would be well served by electing Attorney General Mike DeWine and Secretary of State Jon Husted as our next Governor and Lt. Governor.
